I have had this device for years but misplaced mine when last moved. Glad that Target had it available. I wish it were in a store but on-line only is okay.
I think the trick to making ravioli is to make a very dry dough. It should be hard to work and kneeded for 20 minutes or so before rolling out. Then place a thin layer of dough on the form and use the plastic to make the spaces for the filling. Then place filling in the depressions. Do not fill higher that the tray level. Use pastry brush or your finger wetted with water and moisten at the top of each ppocket. Add another layer of dough and use fingers to press in place. The use rolling pin across the top to seal the raviolis and cut them apart. Toss them in flour very lightly...and cover with damp cloth until ready to cook. Cook in lightly salted water for about 5 mintes...when they are ready, they will bobbel back to the surface...let drain and cover with a tomato sauce or better yet, butter and herbs.
